Petition to get Led Zeppelin on Guitar Hero

I think this would capture a whole new generation of fans. I believe that having a Guitar Hero Led Zeppelin would honor a legendary band. While the music industry changes the customers should have some say so in how they continue to support bands and music itself, how can we the music fan and customer do that? Well, simple keep buying the medium’s we like and not the ones we don’t, I would be the 1st one in the line at the midnight release just so I could hear and experience the songs I’ve known, loved and grew up listening to in a new way. I don’t believe all the artists get what Rock Band and Guitar Hero have done, I personally played Guitar Hero for the 1st time right around a year ago, since experiencing music in a new way I’ve actually gone back, brushed off all my old albums (SACD, DVD-Audio & Vinyl no less) and started just sitting down and just listening to music again, something I haven’t done in years. I’ve read where Jimmy Page doesn’t get Guitar Hero, it almost seems like he may have been offended to think that just anyone could “play” his music, but what I don’t think he realizes is that people don’t think they can really play the music, but quite the opposite, I truly believe that most would actually respect his guitar parts even more than they they may have just listening to the recordings, they will hear nuances that they may have not heard before or may have not noticed before and if they are like I am, it will either spark or bring back the genuine love for the music itself. I really hope that this game gets made, it would be a shame not to bring this band to a new generation. I have to believe that sales of old and new recordings go up if they are released with the game, not that they would need the sales but I would think even a living legend wants their music to be heard, why else would he still be on stage playing it? Keep up the fight and bring one of the best bands of all time to one of the best video games of all time!!!

My dad grew up listening to Zeppelin, he got thier first album when he was 14 years old, now I’m 14 years old and I’ll never get to see them in concert but I wish to have the next best thing, a stero busting “Rock And Roll” on Guitar Hero played by me. Please!! :~(

There should be no Led Zeppelin songs ever on any video game. There is no justification for any thoughts I personally think that it should be illegal to cover them let alone publish them for prepubescent teens to play a composition of guitar that the great Jimmy Page wrote so do not even consider doing this by any means. this needs to happen ! i would say that if it did, it would be the only guitar hero game i play. Zepelin set the standard in their era and it lives on. guitar hero needs to rasie the bar!!

led zeppelin guitar hero would be amazing and let me tell u i wuld stand in line 4 days 4 it believe me i wuld zep is my favorite band they were the hammer of the god and if guitar hero came out with them omg i wuld praise zep and guitar hero zep is the greatest band ever and no1 can top them i can already see how its gonna be ok u can either play as plant bonham r.i.p. jonesy or page the guitar hero store wuld be filled with costumes bonus actual live filmings of a few of there concerts back in the day even tho i own several bootlegs pages and jones guitars the setlist with say maybe 4 or 5 songs in each set and sets would be named after album names with the songs on each album in there set and if u have xbox live u can download live content from earls court and knebworth and stuff and bonus song would be all the song that were left off in the set and u know how guitar hero adds song from different bands well add songs from yardbirds willie dixon howlin wolf roy harper firm david coverdale and stuff like that and o like if u buy the box set u get a bigger drum set that looks like bonzos a mic a bass and the double neck and gibson les paul AMAZING HUH

because there isnt any led zeppelin songs on any guitar hero they should make a guitar hero led zeppelin, i mean its not like they dont have anough songs they have loads, and think of all the sales they would get, there rock legends and they arent even on guitar hero i mean whats up with the world?

Led Zeppelin is, without a doubt, the best band in the world. Doesn’t the public deserve to rock along with music as if they were a part of the band? I realize that Led Zeppelin’s band members would rather I go and learn to play the real guitar, but, frankly, that’s not going to happen whether or not they join the Guitar Hero setlists of the future. So they might as well give the public what they want!

Led Zeppelin is the band i would like the most to be on guitar hero or rock band. BUT I also respect the reasons why they do not want to be involed.

This needs to happen if not for all the great reasons mentioned above but for all of us who are huge fans and can never see them live in concert. Somebody make this happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!

im 13 and i love led zeppelin music – its so amazing – if they could put even one of there songs on any guitar hero, id be happy. it could be guitar hero jonas brothers edition for all i care, as long as there is one led zeppelin song on that cd im happy to a full extent.

Led Zeppelin kicks major ass. I think Jimmy Page is a very stubborn man who needs to see how much fun and joy he could bring millions of people with a game. So they will be using your master tapes, so what, they can’t take copyright of your work, it’s yours. Youu can make a perfect deal that will satisfy everyone. I play real guitar but if we wanna play those games please let us.

It would be great if Led Zeppelin’s songs will be included in guitar hero game.

I read Jimmy Page’s comments, he obviously doesn’t really understand what the game is about. That’s OK, I didn’t until I played it either.

It’s not about playing guitar for real (he suggests buying a cheap real guitar). It’s playing air guitar with props … and anybody can pick it up and do it right away … even somebody who is tone deaf like me.

If Led Zeppelin wanted to make a TON of cash all it would take is 1 song on Guitar Hero, I personally can’t believe how many of the kids around here have purchased music just because they heard it on the game. These kids would never have found older rock classics on their own listening to the top40s stations, around here it is only on the oldies stations. Rock Band is introducing great Older tunes to a whole new generation without making the kids feel like it is “parents music”. … Besides, I like the games, there’s no place around here for a good REAL jam session.

I know how to play stairway on my real guitar but it would be fun to see the band animated and see how Activision charts it out.

I can play most the guitar parts for Led Zeppelin songs, but its the fact that you get to enjoy playing Led Zeppelins music with friends easily that makes the concept great.

it would be awsome if they did some live Led Zeppelin songs on guitar hero, imagine doing the 30 minute version of dazed and confused from song remains the same. I would also be cool to see some rarely heard songs like Carolsulumbra,Achilles last stand and Sick Again

All of you people on here have no respect for Led Zeppelin…you have no right to be saying that they should make a GH: Led Zeppelin!! They have to give up their master tapes…yes the band would have the copyrights and everything but SERIOUSLY!! If you were a true Zep Head you would never ask them to do that…those are their babies…do any of you know how long it too to write Stairway? What sacrifices had to be made for it? Do you know who All Of My Love is written for? Of course I am sure all of you little children on here only know their “famous” songs played on the radio…there is so much more to them then just a few songs that every kids thinks they could play…I myself do not think they should ever let any video game have their music for any means, especially for some stupid little preteens to play it so they can pretend that they are cool…buck up, get a real guitar…and to all you that keep saying that they could make lots of money…SHUT UP!!!! I personally can play Zeppelin on an actual guitar but, think about it, more than half the zeppelin fans can’t (i think), it would be greatly enjoyable to “play” each of their 83 songs in a videogame platform. For me personally it would be twice the joy, i love Led Zeppelin and love Guitar Hero. Jimmy Page, if somehow you manage to read this understand, people CAN’T play your compossitions, that is because you are a GOD playing them with five buttons IS possible, so PLEASE ALLOW GUITAR HERO LED ZEPPELIN. Now as for Plant and Jones, if i’m not wrong they are perfectly fine with it if you aren’t then the previous applies to you too. Led Zep would be the ultimate GH disc. Hundreds of songs to choose from and all are awesome. Playing songs like…Traveling Riverside Blues….Heartbreaker/Living Loving Maid…The Ocean…etc… would be ridiculously fun. GET LED ZEP TO GH ASAP!!!!!!!

I think Led Zeppelin should be added in guitar hero and rockband, I mean think about it, they would gain more fans, more listeners and also much more money, not to mention that people will love playing and hearing your songs at the same time. The band needs to understand that people enjoy these games very much, like I do. Even if this does not get people to grab a real guitar, it would be satisfying to know that your song is being played by thousands and thousands of gamers and fanatics of both games, like myself. If I were in a band and as famous as Led, I would love to see my avatar rocking out in a game and people pretending to be….well…. like me, and also I would want more fans, and to me this would be the easiest way to gain fans for my band. The zep should defo agree to doin guitar hero. their songs are so legendary and to be able to play some of their classic tracks eg. stairway to heaven, whole lotta love, kashmir dazed and confused would be a dream come true for all fans of not just the zep but of rock full stop. please sign for it zep Daniel

Led Zeppelin are truly inspiring, listening to them for the 1st time changed my life and set me on a magical musical adventure. A led zep guitar hero would be great to introduce kids to the world of their music. Even get some of the beautiful page and plant stuff on there
