I think thats an awsome idea to put them in a guitar hero but I also have some ideas for the next guitar hero. I think you should call it guitar hero mutiple bands and it should have metallica, van halen, and a new one journey. and for metallica’s songs you should put the same ones that were on guitar hero metallica and also “Holier Than Thou”, “Through The Never”, “Of Wolf and Man”, “The God That Failed”, “Don’t Tread On Me”, or just do break it down easy you should have all of metallica’s songs, journey’s songs, and van halen’s songs
In my opinion they just need a Guitar Hero: Classic Rock. That game would be the best.
I think they need to make a Guitar Hero game dedicated to country music. I would buy that in a heartbeat!! Because there are many good country songs with good guitar riffs and solos.

I am sooooo glad that Guitar hero Van Halen is coming out its like a dream come true. But what im not so glad about is that Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony are not going to be in it. This means brilliant songs such as poundcake and Best of both worlds aint going to be featured, its basically halved the amount of songs that could of been on it. Its a shame, bt im still buying it as i love guitar hero and i really love van halen. PS: I reckon Eruption should be on it and become the hardest song of all time.
I think it is really cool that there makin a gh van halen it going 2 be the best so far. But it sucks that sammy and mike they complete the band but all I have 2 say now EDDIE rock on bro,rock on!finally u got the worlds greatest gutair player.just can wait 4 the game:)

Guitar Hero: Melodic Death Metal would by in my game collection for sure. With bands as: In Flames, At The Gates and Arch Enemy. Would be epic. I missed that genre in this previouse GH games. Yes I know In Flames was on GH3 and DLC on World Tour. But I NEED MORE!
I agree some Toby Keith, Keith Urban and Brooks and dunn not to mention all the other great country guitar artist out there. I would buy it in a New York minute and play it till I beat it….then play it again

Right on Kim!! I totally agree!! Bat, you are sadly mistaken!! It’s funny how people who say they don’t like country, have never listen to very much of it, if any!!! I’m not sayin’ it’s all great, but there are some great country/rock songs, well not some MANY that would be tons of fun to play!! Especially for people who have families it’s easier for the kids to learn!! DUH genius!! Just cuz you and a few others won’t buy it, doesn’t mean there aren’t thousands of others that would…..UM just like every other video game out there!! Man, I can’t stand a negative attitude…………..:oD

So stoked about GH: Van Halen. Love the playlist but I definitely will miss four of my favorite VH songs: “D.O.A”, “Lighting Up The Sky”, “On Fire”, & especially my all time favorite VH song “Drop Dead Legs”! My idea for an upcoming Guitar Hero game would be GH: Power Ballads. Song list would include the likes of Def Leppard’s “Hysteria”, Skid Row’s “I Remember You”, Slaughter’s “Fly To The Angels”, & Ozzy Osborne with Lita Ford’s “Close My Eyes Forever” just to name a few as examples. The next band dedicated GH release should defintely consider KISS!

i agree, all the country songs on world tour ruined the game. they need to only have classic rock, 80’s metal, melodic death metal, etc. these other genres r just really anoying to play.@bat
i would buy a country version of Guitar Hero, but i wouldn’t enjoy it NEARLY as much as GH: Metallica. That game is abso-tively amazing, aside from the fact that they should’ve had a better song list. I wanted to play “Ride the Lightning” so damn bad, and I have the PS2 version so I can’t get DLC. But GH: Van Halen is definitely going to be in my collection. I’m thinkin that I’ll preorder GH5 and Van Halen
I agree. Classic Rock is one of my favorite genres of music, and the solos that a GH: classic rock would feature would be crazy fun and insane.

seems this game is missing a few great songs: Dreams, Can’t Stop Loving You, Right Now, Why Can’t This Be Love, the list could go on. I think they should’ve just used the Best of Both Worlds album and turned it into a game.
No songs of 5150 and 0U812. Good Enough, Why Cant This Be Love, BOBW and the rest. Not Happy. Think I`ll still get it though. Guitar Hero Motley Crue is what I really want. If Motley can come out with a 50 song set list spanning their entire career, it would be absolutely awesome.

Dont get me wrong, I am a HUGE metal-head. I openly pray for a nwobhm gh that includes the likes of gamma ray, helloween, iron maiden, saxon, manowar etc. I would also go out to buy a Slipknot themed one.
A Black sabbath one would be cool as well.
I really wish that peeps would open their minds to more than one cliched type of music.

Guitar Hero would be sooo much better if they had some good bands like more Killswitch, Lamb of God, As I Lay Dying, even some more Children of Bodom. they seriously need to ditch all these crapy bands like smashing pumpkins or blink- 182 and get some good crap. and to that guy who keeps saying they should have country….. no just please no, i dont want my ears to bleed. i HAVE heard country and actually listened to it with an open mind but the fact is that it realy sucks. metal ftw.

I really glad I bought Guitar Hero 5 because of the free Van Halen. It is taking a long time ( 4 to 6 weeks ) but thats the least of my worries. Now about the song list. I was verry surprised to see new age music. Now I do not have a problem with that, i actually love think its a great idea for my sake because I really don’t like Van Halen but im sure the guitar solo will be fun. To see bands like Blink182 and Killswitch is out of the ordinary because of the time period but is completely ok with me because I will enjoy playing these bands. Van Halen is turning out a lot better than I thought. and for the country idea. I hate country but i am entitled for my opinion, but don’t they have a country game already o.O? Peace and enjoy

They need a guitar hero: Classic Rock, Rock, Metal, And bands that have become popular since the 90’s. Because i love music thats rock and metal, but all this random crap that has been stealing the spotlight from all the good bands can just have their own game so i dont have to play them on the next main game in the franchise, especially Guitar Hero 5 which has many songs that i would never dream of playing. They tried to please too many people with one game.
GH: Milli-Vanilli. It will include new microphone w/ a camera and your score will be based on your ability to lip-sync!
GH:Van Halen will be great when i get the chance to get it…Metallica was great!! I agree that GH: Classic Rock would be a good idea, also some country would..but they go for sales…not genre. I believe that the GH cosumers assosiate more to the rock and roll then the country so more sales for r&r music than country, in my opinion. I personally would like to see a GH: Megadeth or Pink Floyd…PF has some of the greatest guitar solos of all time(IMO) and would make an amazing game.
