Wow that is insane! It is said that the new world record holder for the highest score ever on GH, Danny Johnson, went through an astounding 80 Guitar Hero Controllers while practicing the game.

Danny Johnson, a 14-year old kid from GrapeVine Texas, got an amazing score of 973,954 on “Through the Fire and Flames” while playing for the Guiness Book of World Records Gaming edition in a Manhatten Best Buy Store. This beats the previous record set by Chris Chike which stood at 899,703 for the same song.

From everything in the NY Times Article, I can not imagine this kid having any type of social life. I mean logging as many hours as he did is just crazy.

I mean he is getting recognition for something he obviously cares about, so good for him.
