Guitar Hero Aerosmith is Finally Here!

Guitar Hero Aerosmith releases today! Yup, it is June 29th already and you can now go to your nearest video game dealer and pick up a copy.

You can still Buy your copy of Guitar Hero Aerosmith from amazon and get it delivered to your door though.

Now I want all the people that just started playing the game to post some reviews on Guitar Hero Aerosmith. Just a couple sentences about the game. Try to help other people decide if they should get the game or not.

Also I want to do a picture post, but I only got 2 photos sent in to me, I need a couple more. All you have to do is send in a picture or video that is related to Guitar Hero in some way and write a short description with your name. Here is the newest trailer released by Activision for Guitar Hero Aerosmith! The trailer shows you what the band had to go through to get their signature movements captured along with commentary from each of the band members on the game and process of making the game. Its a pretty cool watch. They say that every action you seen in the game by the characters were captured from the bands real movements.

Guitar Hero Aerosmith Less Than 7 Days Away

The latest in the Guitar Hero Franchise, the first one dedicated to a single band, Guitar Hero Aerosmith, is going to be released in less than 7 days on June 29th, 2008.

I knew it was going to happen as I posted about this before. But Activision has announced that there will be a Bundle released for Guitar Hero Aerosmith! The Aerosmith Guitar Controller is pictured above, and regardless of the fact that I already have 3 Guitar Hero controllers, I will be buying this new bundle.

Only if you pre-order the new bundle you will receive a wireless guitar controller, a special Aerosmith Faceplate, as well as an Aerosmith Tour Book!

There is also talk about a big bundle that will include the game, 2 Guitar Controllers (Wired unfortunately for this double bundle), as well as the rest of the goodies. Pricing for this is said to be $109. If this newly announced Guitar Hero Aerosmith Bundle doesn,t get your blood flowing, you can always just pre-order the game only. If you want to get this as soon as it comes out I would get my Pre-Order on. This is definitelygoing to be one of the most anticipated games of the year.

Aerosmith Branded Guitar Hero Controller?

As far as I know there are no plans for a Guitar Hero Aerosmith Controller to be released, but I am throwing this out there to Activision.

I think it would be pretty cool to have an Aerosmith branded Guitar Hero Controller. Maybe with the Aerosmith logo plastered across the body of it. Add some stylistic features here and there. I’m not sure what kind of Guitar Perry uses (anyone knows leave a comment), but I think it would be a good addition to the game as well as make them some more money. As of now nothing has been announced, and there are no bundles anywhere to be seen on any Guitar Hero: Aerosmith Pre-Order pages, but I really would not be surprised to see something like it come out.

There has been lots of speculation about the game taking the course of Rock Band and adding drums, bass, and a microphone to the game. I really don’t see any evidence of this. I mean they already have people pre-ordering the game alone. If they suddenly announced they were adding more peripherals I would be pretty pissed off. All these big video game sites posting unfounded rumors are probably just trying to get visitors.

Other Bands To Be Featured in Guitar Hero Aerosmith

There have been a ton of discussion and a couple of heated comments about the reality of a Guitar Hero game dedicated to 1 single band. Some people cringe at the idea that the next Guitar Hero game will feature only Aerosmith, while others think its a great idea. This news is not confirmed, but it is rumored that although the game is based on Aerosmiths career, the game will feature bands other than Aerosmith. Possibly bands that have opened for Aerosmith, or toured with them. Bands that have collaborated on songs with them (most notably Run DMC). Although not mentioned anywhere else, Joystiq recieved a scan of a flyer sent out by Best Buy with an ad for a Guitar Hero: Aerosmith Pre-Order that said “And their favorite bands!”. I think adding these different bands to the game will help it appeal to a larger audience as well as create a more well rounded video game. I can’t wait!

About two years ago Aerosmith Guitarist, Joe Perry, noticed his son, Roman Perry, playing guitar hero with his friends. As Perry said “I played it a little bit and said, ‘This is fantastic. Does it have any Aerosmith songs on it?” As you may know Guitar Hero 1 does not contain any Aerosmith songs which sparked the beginning of the Aerosmith addition. Since then the band has teamed up with Activision to create the first ever one-band music game. “It’s got our whole career, from the first place we ever played as a band, Nipmuc High School (in 1970, about 40 miles from Boston) to the (2001) Super Bowl halftime show,” says lead singer Steven Tyler. “It’s 30 years of the legend of Aerosmith and where we played to get where we are.”

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith Details Finally Emerge!

Finally some details are being released about one of the new Guitar Hero Games. As far as I can see the game will be name fittingly “Guitar Hero: Aerosmith”. This will be the first music game ever made that will feature only 1 band.

The game is said to take you through Aerosmith’s stunning career starting from their first gig all the way to becoming rock royalty. Although I was concerned about the game tailoring to only one band, from the details that are emerging, it seems like it is going to be a hell of a game.

The new game is slated for release in June and will contain 30-40 of Aerosmith’s songs.

And to the good news of many people (there have been a ton of comments on the site regarding the possibility of the game not being made for PS2).

The game will be made for all major game systems. PS2, Ps3, Wii, and XBOX 360!

There are a ton of news outlets covering the story. I will keep an ongoing list of them below.
